Jacques Michel (1936–2020) was a renowned Belgian illustrator and jewelry designer. He trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. After working in advertising, theater, and television, he devoted himself from 1976 onward to creating artistic and fine jewelry, blending graphic influences with precious materials. His pieces, often stylized and expressive, reflect a keen sense of line and motif, transforming jewelry into wearable works of art. His creations are on permanent display at the Veranneman Foundation in Kruishoutem, Belgium, and are exhibited alongside works by prestigious contemporary artists such as Alicia Penalba, Bernar Venet, Fernando Botero, and Hans Hartung, to name just a few.
