Christophe Terzian is a French designer and couturier, who admits to being obsessed with fashion since his early childhood. A graduate in 1992 specializing in men's fashion from ESMOD, he quickly began designing collections in Paris, then divided his time between Paris and Shanghai, where he presented fashion shows under his own brand.
He is passionate about technique, colour and ornamentation. In 2012, Terzian decided to make his first leather biker jacket. It was an immediate success.
The following year, he launched his own brand, which would become a complete line of men's and women's ready-to-wear, sold by flagship boutiques such as Luisa Via Roma in Florence, Tomorrowland in Tokyo and Tsum in Moscow.
Inspired by the subversive attitude of Punk and the theatrical dimension of Rock, Terzian merges these influences with the exacerbated romanticism of the Hippie culture that he particularly likes:
“I’ve always loved rock artists and their strong style, from Bryan Ferry’s glam to Axl Rose’s grunge. I dress musicians as well as celebrities, because they are instinctively drawn to my pieces. My collections incorporate 70s elements, seen through the prism of the 90s.”
In his latest collection, “BLISS ON METROPOLIS,” he combines an artisanal touch with clean lines, striking a beautiful balance between softness and strength. His iconic biker jackets are painted with roses, adorned with studs and chains, and with blocks of color reminiscent of tie-dye patterns. A collarless leather jacket marries leopard print with red and yellow flames—and metal studs—reminiscent of the New York Dolls’ cheeky, provocative chic.
The rare jewels created by Terzian are like his fashion: whimsical, exuberant and steeped in history, but always made as unique pieces, in a "haute couture" spirit that is dear to him.
