Bronze structure, slate mosaic, amber, and labradorite leaf. Contemporary creation. Unique piece.

Béatrice Serre's world is a journey in itself. Her vision of mosaic is as unique as it is contemporary. The invention of her art lies in her brilliant idea of combining marble tesserae with raw mineral geodes using the Roman technique. Constantly exploring the techniques and know-how associated with this ancient practice, she opens new avenues of expression for mosaic. Her atypical and inspired work is illustrated, among other things, by a singular use of materials, combining glass paste and metal with semi-precious stones.

Béatrice Serre's creations—wall panels, mirrors, and furniture pieces—are now exhibited in the most prestigious galleries in France and abroad. Her clients include collectors and internationally renowned interior designers such as Jean-Louis Deniot, Laura Gonzalez, Peter Marino, and Thierry Lemaire, whose tables adorned with her exquisite mosaic were chosen to grace the salons of the Élysée Palace. Luxury brands commission her work, including Cartier for its Champs-Élysées boutique and its high jewelry showroom in New York, the Italian brand Aquazzura, and the French couturier Stéphane Rolland.

In 2024, Éditions de l'Amateur published the first monograph dedicated to this singular artist who revolutionized the art of mosaic: Béatrice Serre, Mosaic, The Field of Possibilities. Published to coincide with the exhibition that Galerie Gastou held in her honor that same year, this book presents her most emblematic pieces, illustrating the aesthetic audacity and the technical and artistic finesse of her creations.
